At present, Scout7 systems are in place at over 20 clubs across Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, resulting in a growing requirement for coaching staff to understand both the benefits of the technologies and how they are utilized in a live environment.
The objective of the Scout7 UNECATEF seminars will be to ensure each union member can successfully use these systems, whilst at the same time provide feedback on functionality so Scout7 can enhance the systems based on the changing demands of professional clubs in France.
In addition to these seminars, Scout7 will also provide unemployed UNECATEF coaches with the opportunity to get involved in the company's various ‘Scout7 Scouting' projects, which have been devised following demand from a number of clubs in Ligue 1.
Typically focusing on analysis of international tournaments at both youth and senior level, ‘Scout7 Scouting' provides clubs in France with objective player assessments to supplement a club's existing scouting infrastructure, based upon criteria set by the club.
Having secured the partnership with UNECATEF, Scout7 France's Head of Business Development Jerome Lebatard explains how the organization has recognized the growing importance of Scout7 within recruitment departments all over the country.
"Having spent the past five years building relationships with clubs across France, of various size and infrastructure, I am delighted to have secured a long term partnership with the official coaches union," says Lebatard.
"UNECATEF do a huge amount of work in assisting its members in education and it is testament to the proactive use of Scout7 by French clubs that they have decided it essential to make members aware of how the systems are being used to identify, monitor and manage player recruitment information.
"By working closely with the union, I am sure that we can help hundreds of coaches involved in football develop new skills and acquire knowledge of tools which can make their work easier."
Lebatard is also pleased that Scout7 can provide unemployed coaches with an avenue back into the game through ‘Scout7 Scouting', which is also benefiting not only the UNECATEF members, but also client clubs and even disengaged players.
He also believes this is another example of how proactive partnerships between Scout7 and leading industry organisations can have a wider benefit for football as a whole.
"There are a significant number of French coaches that are currently out of work who have plenty to offer professional clubs through their knowledge of the game," says Lebatard.
"Earlier this year, a number of clubs contacted us requesting objective analysis on international youth teams, to support the work done by their own dedicated team of scouts.
"As a result, we have provided player assessments from international tournaments held in La Manga, Montaigu and Toulon, together with the UEFA Under 17 and Under 19 Finals held over the summer.
"The fact that this analysis has been undertaken to the club's own set criteria by UNECATEF members gives the analysis huge credibility and indeed, the response from our clients has been overwhelmingly positive.
"And by getting these coaches out to games, it is providing them with another opportunity to get back into football and improve their chances of finding new jobs in the industry, which is of course one of UNECATEF's wider objectives.
"Ironically, these coaches recently scouted the FIFPro tournament in Amsterdam, which featured national teams made up of disengaged players, so whilst these coaches were back in football, they were identifying unemployed players who were looking for work at the same time!
"This is yet another example of Scout7 working for the wider good of the professional game and I am sure that together with UNECATEF, we are going to help coaches get to grips with Scout7 technology and services for many more years to come."
