All CV's received by Scout7 are filed internally by the company, based on the department the individual has expressed an interest in working. When a vacancy arises, each individual will be made aware via email and will be invited to apply for the vacant position.

Throughout the calendar year, Scout7 complete a number of reports, including Contract Expiry Directories. Tournament Previews, Competition Scouting Reviews, Work Permit Reports and Tournament notebooks.
These reports are available exclusively to customers with existing contracts with Scout7 and therefore unavailable to third parties.

Depending on the nature of the club's agreement with Scout7, the facility is available for a club to have their specific player report or match report template incorporated into their own system.

ProScout7 - How can I obtain data not already available in the ProScout7 database?

Despite being the most comprehensive independent source of data in world football, there are occasional circumstances when player information is not available within a player's own personal Player Record.
As a result, each record within the system has a ‘Request Additional Information' facility, where the user can contact Scout7's database team directly to request specific information they require.
Scout7's international team of researchers will then conduct the necessary research to obtain the information required, and once all information is gathered, Scout7's support team will report back to the club with their findings.

ProScout7 - How is the security of the ProScout7 guaranteed?

As per security best practice, Scout7's firewall is configured with 2 separate VLANS with tiered security levels. The web server is placed on VLAN 1 and functions as the DMZ (DeMilitarized Zone) due to the fact that incoming connections will be allowed from the Internet (and is therefore more vulnerable to compromise).
A higher security VLAN2, used for the database server, functions as the Trusted Zone, where no incoming connections are allowed from the Internet. Connections are only allowed on a strict port basis from the DMZ and on connections from the VPN to the Scout7 office network.
The current firewall is capable of 4,000 concurrent sessions and 75Mbps across all ports. This minimises the chance of the firewall becoming a bottleneck in the solution.
In addition all access to the Scout7 websites are 128bit encrypted for extra security.

ProScout7 - Is system training provided for all club staff by Scout7?

All system training comes inclusive when a club returns a signed agreement to use Scout7 technology. Scout7's Account Management team will provide comprehensive system training for all club system users at a club's training ground and can also arrange further one-to-one training as and when a user requires it.

ProScout7 - Is the system available on a free trial basis?

In the vast majority of cases, Scout7 will provide a club with a comprehensive presentation of the system and be on hand to answer any questions a club may have regarding the system's functionality.
Because of the requirements of setting up club specific Scout7 demos and to ensure security levels are not compromised, Scout7 has a policy of not giving system trials, but in specific cases, in particularly when a long haul trip is required to present the system, the company will allow a short trial period.

The number of users a club can have using their ProScout7 system is unlimited. Furthermore, when a scout or member of staff leaves the club, the users account is disabled but their work remains in the system, ensuring all work completed on behalf of the club remains in the club.

ProSquad7 - If I enter information into my club’s system, who else can see it?

Access to every module of the system can be restricted.
Typically clubs will restricted many of their users so that they can only see the information that they enter into the system. For example, a user may only be able to see the Match Reports they add to the system.
Scout7 will consult with the club to ensure access to the system matches the club's structure.
Access levels can be amended by the clubs administrator or Scout7.

ProSquad7 - Is the solution simply a Youth Development solution or a club wide solution?

The decision to how ProSquad7 is implemented internally comes down to the specific needs of each club.
Scout7 however sees the squad management modules within the solution as club wide, continuing to monitor the progress of registered schoolboys and academy scholars when they sign professional forms.
Player recruitment management should however only be used to monitor local leagues at schoolboy level, as all senior international recruitment should be managed via the ProScout7 solution.

ProSquad7 - Will Scout7 provide support to manage and maintain our local league information?

ProSquad7 initially starts as a blank database, which is populated, managed and maintained internally by club administrators, coaches and researchers.
Initially, Scout7's Account Management and Support teams will provide assistance in populating local leagues, club names and fixtures, together with a dedicated step-by-step training programme, to help users get acquainted with the functionality of the system.
The ultimate goal of this programme is to ensure that each club becomes self sufficient in managing all the local information themselves.

System Support - Can Scout7 systems be accessed via the Firefox browser?

The existing ProScout7 system was developed to only support the standard Internet Explorer browser and as a result is not supported by Firefox, but when the system is upgraded later in 2008, it will be able to support Firefox.
ProSquad7 however is supported by both Internet Explorer and Firefox.

System Support - I am a scout at a club using Scout7, how do I obtain a Username and Password?

For security purposes, a scout cannot simply contact Scout7 directly to obtain access to a private club system. To obtain access, the sporting director, chief scout or any other senior management at the club need to make the request on the new user's behalf. Once set up, Scout7 can contact the user directly with login details and offer basic instructions to assist in the understanding of the system.

System Support - I am struggling to enter my work into the system, is personal training available?

Scout7's Account Management team is dedicated to provide all client clubs with seven day, round the clock support. If a user needs further system training, Scout7 can arrange personal training either at home or at the training round. Training can be arranged by contacting the appropriate Account Manager, or via Scout7 Head Office.

System Support - I have forgot my password and I am now locked out, how can I get back logged in?

If a user enters the wrong username and password combination three times, they will be immediately locked out for one hour. By contacting Head Office on 0870 757 7717, the Scout7 support team can re-set the account with a new password and also cancel the automatic locking mechanism set so the user can log back in immediately.

System Support - Match diagrams in ProScout7 are failing to upload. How can I fix this problem?

The most common reason why this problem occurs is when Flash is not installed on the user's PC or laptop. Flash can be easily downloaded via the Match Diagram page within ProScout7 by clicking on the appropriate link.
In rare cases, the configuration settings within Internet Explorer can also cause problems with the display of Flash files. For further details on rectifying this problem, contact Scout7 Support on 0870 757 7717.
